Is it too late to snag a topic? I would love to write about keeping Kidfic realistic. As a mother of three, nothing makes me hit the back button faster than seeing a 3 year old "toddling" or a four year old quoting Proust.

Heya! You know, actually, I'm absolutely okay with you grabbing this topic! :D (Having some experience as a writer and familiarity with the show is what's important.)

primroseburrows is up next (to post sometime around the 8th), then ultra_chrome (to post around a week after that), so at that point I'll send you an email to remind you you're up. :D

In the meantime, since you DO have some experience writing and familiarity with the show, I'm going to sneakily put on my pimp hat and point you at ds_flashfiction! Snippets are always welcome, the 5 things challenge has just gone up, and it's a great place for people who've never written in DS to dip their toe in. /sneaky pimp *G*

So, yay!! And yay advice on kidfic! I've never attempted it, aside from treating them like furniture or forces of nature that blow through like the wind and then leave, mostly bc I don't have any kids in my life and would have no idea where to begin. :P

Hmmmm.... I almost participated in the Dancing challenge. I love the dipping their toe in metaphor, because I see me as running toward it, then hastily running. One of these days I'm just going to crash in. And my beta turned me on to Due South, so I imagine she would be pleased if I attempted to participate in fandom beyond reading. *g* Which is all my convoluted way of saying, "Maybe."
