Hmm, maybe she was :-) I didn't have room to discuss it in this post, but there are significant morale problems in the RCMP right now. Widespread corruption has drained the pension fund for officers, the RCMP extradited a man to a middle eastern country where he was tortured, and recently a non-violent, non-resisting man was tasered to death by Mounties at the Vancouver airport. Add to that charges of racism and sexism as well as the recent shooting deaths of the two officers in the north and it's tough times for the RCMP in Canada.
