Hi there! Thank you so much for the corrections and notes about some of the blind spots in my research (which is largely anecdotal and, yes, wildly inaccurate in places :-) I had no idea that A&W started in the US - it was always marketed as a Canadian chain. I have seen them in Ontario, but I thought they were a signal that the franchise was expanding eastward. Good to know! I'll amend the original post, since I'm just now composing part 2.
And wow! Go Athabasca! I had no idea they were accredited with a BA program. This does more to showcase my woeful lack of knowledge about northern Alberta. Would you mind if I sent you a rough draft of the second part of this post to check over? It wouldn't require a lot of research on your part, but I'd like a fellow northern Canuck to check it over and see if anything pings as wrong. Only if you're willing, of course :-)
