Due South Workshop

I've been writing a little fic, and I can't seem to find out what the daylight hours would be like in say, December and January. Would there be days of total darkness? If so, when? How long would it be until there would be about 4-5 hours of daylight per day? Any help you could give would be most appreciated. Or feel free to send me to an appropriate website. I couldn't find any that had what I needed when I searched.
