This was particularly evident to me in Masquerade, where I was fairly confident Fraser was a good guy even though there was no concrete evidence of that.

*nods* Yeah, we sort of counted on that. It changed the tone of the story from the movie, so we could add a lot more character angst and play around with Ray's personality given a whole new set of circumstances. If we hadn't been able to count on people reading Fraser as a good guy early on, Ray would have needed to be a lot less complicated and sympathetic in order for the story to be emotionally compelling.

Or at least, that was the theory. *g*
