If you ever decide to write, you could get around the dialogue heavy stuff by, well, as you already said, not having it.

I've read longer pieces with next to no dialgue and they've worked just as well as dialgue-only stories -- sometimes even better.

What can I say? It's a matter of practice. I still laugh when I look at my early stuff and I've taken to keeping it on my website as a lesson in humility.

Watching a show will help with the dialogue, though. Should you ever want the series, I think I can scrounge up the episodes and send to you, if you don't already have them. I've found it helps me a lot to review episodes to get in the mood and to find the character voices.
